Persol Eyewear

The collection embodies the strength and personality of Persol, which, thanks to the elegance and style of its glasses, has been an emblem of Italian craftsmanship since 1917, always cherished by Italian cinema and Hollywood. In the midst of World War I, Giuseppe Ratti introduced a glare-reducing pair of spectacles dubbed The Protector, designed specifically for pilots. The glasses featured smoked crystal lenses with an elastic band and rubber-lined frames. Persol grew in cultural relevance as celebrities like Steve McQueen were seen in movies and television sporting the brand.

The Protector’s popularity took off, landing itself on the faces of race car drivers and motorcyclists Shortly after, the Persol name was born, a portmanteau of “per il sole” (for the sun).

Vintage Elegance and Eclectic modernity

Persol celebrates the glamour of ’70s stars with vintage references. However, the past is always modernized by lenses and acetates in new colour combinations. The brand continues its evolution with new elements that perfectly integrate with Persol’s unmistakable style, such as the inverted V-bridge and metal temples finished with elongated acetate tips, which make the models even more elegant. Persol truly solidified itself as an innovative brand, first with the introduction of its now-iconic Meflecto technology. Using a complex system of cylinders inserted carefully into the stems, the Meflecto system allowed the glasses to adapt its shape to any wearer’s head, reducing pressure and increasing comfort. Persol developed the Victor Flex system which helped the bridge of the sunglasses fit any face shape using a series of flexible notches. Persol offers sunglasses which are available in various metallic shades with an acetate cover, a lot of different combinations of colours and materials. Those who love understated styles without sacrificing a tailored flair will really appreciate these metal glasses with an acetate cover. The panto design, which features the new inverted V-bridge, has rounded corners. The temples are slim, with long acetate tips, while the flexible hinge is finished with the Persol arrow to ensure maximum grip. Persol dominate the sports landscape, moving from pilots and race car drivers to world-class mountain climbers and explorers.

Persol is different, They were authentic and they're authentic.
